There are many events and fundraising opportunities that boys take part in every year, and will hopefully be developed with the local community for many years to come.

In September, the Turing Bike Ride takes place in aid of the Sherborne Voluntary Ambulance and The Samaritans. This has been a great success and is run in conjunction with the local community. Sherborne boys are an integral part of the smooth running of the day.

We are in conversation with Yeovil Pen Mill Football Club with regards to setting up a link with them. Boys have already enjoyed a relaxed practice evening with others from Pen Mill. We are excited to see where this may lead in the future.

Links are being further established with local schools to encourage Sherborne boys to visit primary schools to read with Key Stage 1 and 2 children.

With great enthusiasm money was raised for Save the Children in a Christmas Jumper day. Additionally, we maintain our excellent links with the Yeatman Hospital, Sherborne Community Kitchen, and the Rendez-vous, hoping to cement these further over the next few months and years.

So much more is being developed. It is important to emphasise that outreach at Sherborne will be led by the giving of our time, over our money. Whilst there is a very real need for fundraising, nothing will incentivise that better than a long-standing relationship, a true understanding and deep empathy for those we are helping.
