Mental and physical health often go hand in hand. All staff in the Health Centre are trained professionals ready and willing to support any mental health concerns, please just get in touch. Our range of support is vast and takes an individual approach. It may be as simple as talking and being supported by the duty nurse through to CAMHS referrals where more specialist help may be required.

The School employs two Counsellors. Information on how to contact the School Counsellor is available on notice boards in the Boarding Houses and in the Health Centre. Pupils are able to confidentially self-refer to the Counsellor by emailing [email protected].

The ‘Pupil Listening Service’ is a wonderful additional layer of support available to boys at peer level. In terms of the Mental Health agenda, the Pupil Listening Service is a real cause for celebration and is testimony to the caring and empathetic boys we have here at Sherborne. All Pupil Listeners have undergone specialised training to undertake the role and are ready and willing to support any pupil who would like to talk to another pupil about their feelings.
