Termly Fees 2024/25
The Government have announced that VAT will be imposed on school fees from January 2025. We expect to receive further details on how the tax will be implemented following the Autumn Budget on Thursday 30 October.
To help mitigate the impact of VAT, the Governors have decided to reduce the headline fees for the next two terms (Lent and Trinity 2025) by 5.3% based on the assumption that VAT at 20% will be imposed from 1 January 2025. Should the rate at which VAT is levied, the timing of its implementation, or any other material details deviate from our current assumptions, we will update this page of any consequent changes to our planned fee adjustments.

- First instrument: £38.50 per 35 minute lesson
- Second instrument: £26.00 per 35 minute lesson

- £49.00 per 45 minute one-to-one lesson
- £25.00 per 45 minute lesson, two sharing
- £18.50 per 45 minute lesson, three sharing
- £13.00 per 45 minute lesson, four sharing
- £8.00 per 45 minute extra support group
Language lessons:
- £45.00 per 45 minute one to one lesson
Drama, Speech and Communication
- £170.00 group rate for ten 35 minute lessons
- £210.00 pair rate for ten 35 minute lessons
- £285.00 solo rate for ten 35 minute lessons
EAL
- Individual: £60.00 per 45 minute lesson
- Group of two: £35.00 per 45 minute lesson, each
- Group of three or more: £24.00 per 45 minute lesson, each
Overnight Boarding
£60.00 per night, subject to availability
Additional Fees
- House Subscription: £26.75 per term
- Art materials: £80.00 per annum (sixth form), £65 per annum (fifth form), £42.50 per annum (fourth form), £32 per annum (third form)
- Linen Charge: £106.75 one-off, charged on first term
- Trunk Storage: £32.50 per holiday, for overseas boarders only to include checking and laundering of clothes during holiday
- Tuck Box Storage: £5.50 per holiday
Purchases from the School Shop and the costs of other goods and services from shops in the town such as haircuts, books or shoe repairs will be added to the termly fee invoice.
Registration Fee
A fee of £300, inc VAT, is payable by all parents wishing to register their son for entry to the School. The fee is non-refundable whether or not the boy is offered a place.
Deposit
A deposit of £2,000 is payable by all parents on acceptance of a place. Parents normally resident outside of the UK must pay also a term's fees deposit which is payable on acceptance of a place.
Fees in lieu of notice
You are reminded that under the School’s terms and conditions you must give a term’s written notice to terminate the parent contract, given not later than the first day of the term which is to be the boy’s final full term at the School. If proper notice is not given then fees in lieu of notice will be payable in lieu as a debt.
