Rugby Fives is a game that is fast, fun and great for fitness. For boys that have never played Fives, Sherborne is the ideal place to have a go.
We are fortunate to have five indoor courts, all in excellent condition. Games are played in the singles and doubles format on a four-sided court. Players wear leather padded gloves on both hands, with which they hit a small hard ball, aiming to strike above the bar running across the front wall.
We play throughout the year and any year group can select to play Fives as part of their sporting programme, whether they have played Fives before or not. Teams of all ages and stages play matches against other schools and old boys’ teams. There is an Inter-House competition each year and every January we host a National Schools tournament.
