Independent School of the Year Awards 2022

Sherborne School has been selected as a finalist for two awards in the prestigious Independent School of the Year Awards (ISOTY) 2022: 'Independent Boys School of the Year' and the 'Development Award for Outstanding Fundraising Achievement'.

Sherborne prides itself on its unique partnership with Sherborne Girls which sees its single-sex educational provision supported by a wide range of joint co-curricular and social opportunities. From weekly socials, joint choirs, orchestras and dramatic productions to sailing, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the exceptionally popular joint schools' CCF, boys really do have the broadest and best educational experience.

The ongoing development of our new Sports Complex, which will make the area’s best sporting facilities available for use by boys and the local community, is due to be completed in 2023.  Fundraising for this project has involved a collaborative approach from across the School community.

It is an exciting time for Sherborne and being selected as a finalist in these two categories is something that Headmaster Dr Dominic Luckett is rightly very proud of:

'Receiving recognition for the endeavours of all within our School community fills me with tremendous pride and we are delighted to have been selected as a finalist in the 2022 ISOTY awards'

The awards highlight the excellence of the student experience offered by the UK's amazing independent schools.  With Sherborne Prep winning the award for Sporting Achievement in 2021, we are excited that Sherborne School has also been selected as a finalist for two awards this year.  We look forward to the announcement of the winners in October.
