In early March, 22 boys took their LAMDA exams in the Drama Studio. On these occasions LAMDA sends an external examiner to watch and assess the candidates.

This spring, five boys took Acting exams with the rest choosing Speaking in Public. We were delighted that out of the 22 boys, 17 gained Distinctions and five were awarded very creditable Merits. Nine boys in the Sixth Form were awarded Gold Medal (Grade 8) for Speaking in Public. These were Alex Upton (L6e), Francis Keeping (L6e), Marcus van Koetsveld (L6c), Freddie Sington (L6b), Aaron Che (U6d), Jake Molloy (U6a), Macros Yiu (L6m), Aneurin Denham (U6e) and Ottokar Denham (U6m). I am sure these skills will prove useful in their future careers. James Keeping (3e), gained the highest mark of the day for his Grade 3 Speaking in Public and Arthur Macdonald (L6a) the highest mark of the day for Acting, gaining his Grade 6 Bronze Medal for a rousing performance of Henry V’s Once More Unto the Breach speech and a very funny modern monologue from Oliver Lansley’s play Flies.
