Outstanding GCSE Performance

With the publication of this year’s (I)GCSE results, it is now the turn of our Fifth Form to be congratulated upon a truly outstanding performance.  Thanks to a combination of their own determined efforts and the tireless support and encouragement of their teachers, the boys have achieved a remarkable set of grades.  An outstanding performance across all subjects saw a third of our boys achieving ten or more grades 9-7, whilst eight boys secured ten or more grade 9s.

Headmaster Dr Dominic Luckett expressed his admiration for the boys and staff who together achieved such impressive outcomes amidst the unaccustomed pressures, uncertainties and frustrations of the past eighteen months: "In gaining these grades, our boys have shown themselves to be possessed not only of great academic ability but also high levels of grit, determination and adaptability.  At the same time, I cannot praise highly enough the inspiration and guidance given to them, over many months, by our talented and dedicated team of teaching and support staff.  I am grateful to them all."

Equipped with such excellent (I)GCSE results, the boys can embark with great confidence and ambition upon their Sixth Form studies.  We fully expect them to continue to excel not just academically but in sport, the arts and service to others.
