Extremely Impressive GCSE Results 2024

Following last week’s outstanding results, we are delighted to extend equally warm congratulations to our Fifth Form who have achieved an extremely impressive set of GCSEs. Roughly a third of their exams were awarded the top grades of 9 and 8, with around half being graded 9 to 7 (equivalent to the old A* and A grades). 14% of their results were at the top grade of 9 (compared to 5% nationally). 

Stellar performers include Johnny M with 12 grade 9s and 1 grade 8; and Marc F and Alexander W,  who achieved straight 9s and 8s. 11 boys were awarded ten or more grades 9 to 7 (A*/A equivalent). 

Commenting upon the results, Headmaster Dr Dominic Luckett, expressed his admiration for both boys and staff: ‘Once again, I have been so impressed by our boys’ ability to combine extensive, and frequently high-level, sporting, creative, cultural and other co-curricular endeavours with a sharp academic focus.  These excellent results are a reflection of their ability, dedication and ambition and of the outstanding support afforded them by their teachers and other staff’.
