We are delighted to congratulate this year’s Upper Sixth, who have achieved the School’s best ever A level results, including 16% graded A*, 52% A* to A, and 78% at A* to B. More than a quarter of the year group secured straight A* and A grades, with 28% of the boys achieving this distinction, another School record. Among the many highly impressive individual performances were the three A*s achieved by Noah Chillingworth (m) and Harry Reynolds (e); the three A*s and one A obtained by Max Vinycomb (f); and the sweep of four straight A*s awarded to Oliver Rose (f).
Special congratulations are also due to Chris Bocz (f), Charles Howard (c), Edward Pyman (e), Oliver Rose (f) and Archie Wing (e), each of whom gained the grades needed to confirm their Oxbridge offers. Others, meanwhile, are preparing to head off to other leading universities including Bristol, Durham, Edinburgh, LSE and Imperial College.
The Headmaster, Dr Dominic Luckett, expressed his delight, commenting:
‘These exceptional results reflect the talent, commitment and dedication of the boys and those who taught them. The boys’ success is the result of sustained hard work and a real appetite for intellectual challenge and achievement. The results are all the more impressive in view of the extraordinary range of sporting, artistic and other successes achieved by this tremendously talented group of boys. I am very proud of every single one of them and they deserve our warmest congratulations and best wishes for the future as they embark on their university careers.’
