Sixth Former Freddie Robinson (L6f) has been awarded a special commendation from Juvenes Translatores for the skill he displayed in the competition to reward the best young translators in the European Union. Juveniles Translatores is a Europe-wide challenge for linguists from any European school or country to take part in.

The contest markers singled out Freddie (pictured far left) for the quality of his translations. He showed particular aptitude in understanding meaning and context, as well as interpreting style level and displayed excellent use of target language.

‘There is only one winner per European Commission country and therefore Freddie has done incredibly well to receive a special mention certificate. The whole department is incredibly proud of his achievement.’
