Four more pupils have joined the list of Sherborne School musicians who have achieved their ATCL Performance diplomas, making seven in total. Music Scholars William Thorne (U6e) and Ben MacLean (U6b) celebrated their new ATCL diplomas when the news arrived on Tuesday, while Joss Nelson (U6e) and Sam MacDonald (U6c) increased their considerable success by also achieving rare Distinctions.
In ABRSM and Trinity grade exams taken in March, in addition to a number of Merits and Distinctions across the different grades, Grade 8 Distinctions were achieved by George Jefferson (5e) on the oboe, Benedict Mercer (5b) on the French Horn, Isaac Bingley (4e) on the guitar, and Horatio Byrne (U6a), Jordan Berry (U6a) and Freddie Graham (L6c) for Singing.
