LTA Grade 4 / 5 Tournament

Sherborne School hosted an LTA Grade 4 and 5 level tournament on Sunday May 20th. Up to forty junior and adults in all, enjoyed extremely competitive matches in the glorious sunshine on six courts at school and six more at Sherborne Tennis Club.

Nick Morris (a) and Cosmo Henderson (e), gained some great experience playing in the 16 /U County Tour Grade 4 at the Tennis Club. The boys showed great promise in their Fast4 matches, learning that they have to develop more consistency and threat to achieve more at this level.  

"Our thanks go to the two referees, David Kirkman and Chris Penny who were steadfast throughout the day monitoring all the matches in extremely hot conditions. Thank you also to John Atkins for the incredible grass courts, and to the Sherborne Catering Team for the Sunday beverages, squash and biscuits for the many parents that had travelled considerable distances. And finally but no means last, A Touch of Glass Yeovil, for preparing the trophies which were a big hit with the young players and parents attending."
