Our Fourth Form and Lower Sixth boys recently took to the Brecon Beacons in preparation for their Gold and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. They camped out under the stars for three nights and showed great team work throughout.
After setting up camp on the first night, the boys got the frisbee out and played until dark. They were conscious of getting a good night’s sleep, in preparation for a very challenging couple of days ahead.
The boys set off across the National Park demonstrating great resilience and determination. There were certainly some sore feet along the way, but this didn’t stop them completing their mission across the mountain ranges, carrying their kit all the way. It was a fabulous achievement and we wish them all the best with the Award.
