Huge congratulations to Aaron Kim (L6b), making history this summer, taking his IGCSE Mathematics ahead of his own year group last year. Aaron was recognised by AQA as one of only three in the country who achieved full marks in the AQA Level 2 Further Mathematics examination from an entry of over twenty-one thousand.
With this achievement, Aaron was awarded the top A^ grade (A* with distinction) that is issued to recognise achievements in this significantly more challenging examination. To have not only gained a grade beyond A* but to have done this without error in a challenging examination, is simply an outstanding achievement.
Overall, it has been a fantastic year for our GCSE Mathematicians, with Sherborne School scoring a result of 26.8% at grade 9 (compared to 3.6% in Mathematics nationally).
