Thanks to our annual outdoor music festival our boys experienced rock star status first hand as they took to the stage for Concert in the Courts. With some acts teaming up with Sherborne Girls the night was filled with phenomenal performances from both schools and served as a brilliant example of the special events that are born out of our unique co-location.
As the School’s rock music society, RocSoc is the mastermind behind the student-led initiative. Space on the bill is always competitive and bands have to earn their slot in the running order through a series of auditions. Several acts practised religiously in the run-up and the calibre and range of music-making were awesome.
The music ranged from Grunge to Soul and some classic Rock tunes and the audience were treated to several stellar performances. The DJ’s got the crowds bouncing in unison and the pupils all had a fantastic evening against the backdrop of the iconic Sherborne buildings.
