Swing Band All Stars

The Swing Band’s dinner-dance on Friday night was a fusion of both spectacular music and a superb supper, provided by our catering team. Playing as ‘All Stars’ in the last concert before the Barbados Tour in July, the band entertained a full audience. From traditional Sinatra/Bublé numbers featuring Charlie Barker and Harry Vincent, to upbeat dance numbers such as “One Mint Julep’ and “The Subtle Sermon”.

Improvised solos were given by Peter Folkes, while brothers Sam and Matt MacDonald, Hori Byrne, Freddie Graham and others, paved the way for “Sing, Sing, Sing!”, featuring Billy Slim for the last time on the drums. Charlie Smith, the LTCL flute-player, again wowed the audience with electric guitar solos which nearly stole the show!
