Four musicians participated in the Plush Festival at Plush Manor—home to the great pianist, Alfred Brendel. Joining a collective of the county's finest young string players and pianists, the Music Scholars from Sherborne School had the opportunity to rehearse and perform together, to receive expert tuition, and to observe masterclasses.
Throughout the masterclasses and rehearsals, a holistic approach was taken through the Feldenkrais workshop—a series of movements to promote greater vitality and focus, aid learning, and to help relieve tension and stress in performances.
A highlight of the day was the opportunity to perform on Alfred Brendel’s own instrument.
